These are double-sided blades made from hardened steel.

Pilot Hole Guide Pin

This pin is what fits into the pre-drilled pilot hole and guides the cutter throughout the entire cut.  This pin fits through the adjustment (slider) bar, and is fastened to the shaft base with a set screw. $10.99
